Claire: it's not terribly difficult. The alphabet is really easy, and there are virtually no spelling exception or stupid things like there are in English. It's very mathematical, very precise, etc. I mean, the Koreans made it after all. The grammar takes some getting used to, but you just gotta make sure you practice it in speech a lot. Writing is easy, but speaking is hard. Go for it though, I say.
